Cleveland Cavaliers: Donovan Mitchell Reacts to Reports That He ‘Grew Frustrated’ With Teammates’ Lack of Maturity vs. Celtics

So much has been said in the aftermath of the Cleveland Cavaliersseason-ending Game 5 loss at the hands of the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. A lot of the buzz has centered around Donovan Mitchell and his future in Cleveland now that Year 2 has ended in utter disappointment yet again for the five-time All-Star.

So much so, that a report came out alleging that Mitchell “grew frustrated” with his teammates during their second-round series against Boston.

According to Cavs insider Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com, Mitchell supposedly “grew frustrated with some teammates’ lack of maturity, focus, playoff-level readiness and a willingness to listen” not only in the Celtics series but throughout the season as well.

The 27-year-old caught wind of the report and he immediately clapped back at what he’s claiming to be false facts:

ESPN’s NBA guru Adrian Wojnarowski has also chimed in on all this brouhaha. According to the renowned league insider, he reached out to Mitchell directly, who made it abundantly clear that “he is not disgruntled with anyone or anything in Cleveland.”

Woj went on to say that Mitchell is “happy in Cleveland,” but at the same time, there is a lot of frustration on his end because of the fact that the Cavs failed to progress to the Eastern Conference Finals.
